I'm following the tutorial on using flickr to post photos to the blog. I like this function. I especially like this photo. When I tried to think of what to search for on flickr, I remembered that Cape Leqeuve is a place I've heard by many is simply glorious. There was a tsunami there in 1977 http://tinyurl.com/cjwcpo

I used www.tinyurl.com to post that link - its a nifty tool you can use to shorten a ridiculously long web address. I found out about it while I have been fiddling about with twitter where I have been following Al Gore's "tweets". http://twitter.com/algore I noticed he uses tinyurl for his links to information.

Time to stop fiddling about......

Its taken me well over a week to get a first post in - I have been pre-occupied with the layout of the page and spaces for bits and pieces and widgets, etctera, etcetera. My aim is to learn about all the bits that can make a useful blog, and to create a space to put useful sources of information together.(Both practical and entertaining).

The Dashboard Diva (pictured in my profile) is a doll that was designed to sit on my dashboard - and zshuush up the interior of my car. She is attached to a small spring which is attached to a sticky label that goes on the car dashboard. In the hot weather the adhesive melted and she kept slipping off - so now she stays inside, and acts as my avatar instead.

A question for my colleagues - I don't think the spelling of zshuush is correct.... any suggestions?
